I am Certified as a Massage Practicioner in the state of Maryland.
Rolfing is not massage, it is in fact (as I learned it) more closely allied with osteopathy.
Massage is concerned with alleviation of symptoms.
Rolfing is concerned with correcting causes of symptoms.
Certainly, it is symptoms, which bring many people to Rolfing! However, we don't stop there.

I can take referrals from medical personnel. If you or your colleagues are curious about Rolfing, I do need rheumatologists, orthopedists, pain specialists, acupuncturists, physical therapists and osteopaths to refer clients to. I worked in the office of an osteopath in Germany, and worked with a rheumatologist to develop and present information to the American Women's Activities Germany group. I currently work out of a cozy home office near Fort Detrick. There is a cat in residence- she is not allowed in the office, but if you have severe allergies, or cannot negotiate stairs, we need to make other arrangements.
